Moving forward is always hindered by distractions, procrastination, fear, anxieties, and concerns about what people might say.
Moving forward pulls us out of our comfort zone and the safety of complacency. It removes any limitation we may have on ourselves and God and limiting thoughts that we try to hold onto.
Moving forward means letting go of some things and perhaps leaving some people behind. However, when we begin to actually move forward, we display courage, strength, faith, and hope.
“But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”Philippians 3:14-14
Today is a perfect day to step out on faith and move forward. Gather all the courage you have inside of you and take that first step. Move despite of how uncomfortable, uncommon, unnatural, and unsure you may feel. Move as if your life depends on it because it does.
“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Let the words of Apostle Paul and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. motivate you to step forward into your new season.
Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Now let’s walk in freedom together!
