Happy Valentine’s Day! This is a good read and a great reminder of how much we are loved by our Heavenly Father. “My Heavenly Father’s love for me causes me smile, cry, and be blown me away. I am so amazed at the indescribable love that the Father has for His children. I’m in awe of His love. Oh, how He loves me. Oh, how He loves you! I wish I could find an extravagant word that could describe God’s love. He loves much. When I think about His love, how He loves us, and how He proves His love for us daily, tears fill my eyes. I have no doubt that the Creator loves me so dearly, and I love Him so much (1 John 4). Growing up, I needed my earthly father’s love. I wanted it, but I never got it. My father never showed me he loved me and if he did love me, I never saw it, heard it, or knew it. I wanted to be loved by my father, I needed it. It was so important to me and I believe that’s why I craved it so bad. I needed hugs, I needed validation, and I needed love from other people because I did not get those things from my father. I longed to hear my father tell me that he loved me, tell me that he was proud of me, and give me a big hug. Growing up, those words never came out of his mouth until my late thirties (this is when better late than never is so wonderful!!). When my father finally said those words I longed to hear, I was like a kid in a candy shop. I cried like a baby, I wanted to scream, I was so relieved.
