Today's is momma's birthday! She was my daddy’s mom who raised me from 6 years old to 18. The Lord allowed her to be with me until my high school graduation. A few months later, God said, “Your purpose on this earth has been fulfilled. Come home, beloved...” •

Momma, 31 years later, I did it! I walked across the stage to receive my MED! I’m grateful and praise God for accomplishing this goal. Thank you for everything you instilled in me. Thank you for demonstrating to me what unconditional love, patience with myself and for others looks like. Thanks for letting me see how a woman who truly loves and depends on God lives and behaves, and how she perseveres despite life’s challenges. I appreciate you teaching me how to be a mother and grandmother who cares, supports, loves, defends, protects, and prays for her children.

“GOD WORKS WHILE WE WAIT
REFLECTION
If we are honest, we all hate to wait. In fact, most often we say something like, “I can’t believe this is taking so long; it’s costing me time I don’t have!” That’s because most of us consider waiting to be wasting. But it’s not so with our God.
God works while we wait. Even when you can’t see what He is doing, God is always orchestrating the events of heaven and earth to accomplish His purposes for your life. Trust in His unfailing love—love that moved Him to send a Savior from heaven to restore and rescue you. God’s plans for your life will not be thwarted. Wait patiently, knowing that waiting is never wasted when you are waiting on God.
