Appropriately Responding to Lemons

You have probably heard that when life throws you lemons, make lemonade. Every day believers are hit with lemons, life’s troubles and schemes of the Devil that take our thoughts off God. But it is how we respond to those lemons that matters most.

Today, Satan will throw lemons in the form of complaints, setbacks, jealousy, comparisons, pride, hatred, fear, anxiousness, doubts, hardship, and challenges. He is going to use people and things to sidetrack us. He is going to use life circumstances to trip us up so that we might stumble or fall. The enemy will throw his fiery darts and lies, but we must respond appropriately.

To respond the correct way, we must do the Word of God says in Ephesians 6.

The Word of God helps us to stand against Satan and life’s hard blows. Our Heavenly Father is our very present help! He has given us His powerful Word, which is our weapon to stand against the enemy’s tricks. We must familiarize ourselves with tactics Satan uses to attack us and respond using the weapon God has given us so that we are able to fight back the proper way to whatever life throws our way.

Here are six biblical principles you can use to respond appropriately to Satan and life’s lemons that are thrown our way:

  1. The weapons will form but they won’t prosper. Isaiah 54:17 – “No weapons formed against you shall prosper…….”

Sisters, when life and Satan throw sour lemons at us, let’s use our Sword (The Word of God) to slice them up and make sweet lemonade. For the Word of God is sweeter than honey (Ps. 119:103).

It’s Monday…already. Now, let’s walk in freedom together!

Your sis,

Rhovonda

“Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.”

Ephesians 13-18, MSG
