Freedom is something many of us long for—but often misunderstand.
We tend to think of freedom as the absence of problems, pressure, or responsibility. But true spiritual freedom isn’t found in perfect circumstances. It begins when we surrender our hearts fully to Christ.
That truth has been resting heavily on me lately.
Freedom does not start with what we do. It begins with who we trust.
When we release control and allow Jesus to lead, we step into a freedom that is deeper than emotions and stronger than seasons. It’s a freedom rooted in peace, joy, and confidence—not because life is easy, but because Christ is faithful.
The world offers freedom that shifts and fades. Jesus offers freedom that remains.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
— 2 Corinthians 3:17
Walking in spiritual freedom means choosing surrender daily. It means trusting God’s direction even when the path isn’t clear. It means serving Him with gladness and loving others from a place of grace instead of striving.
This kind of freedom doesn’t remove challenges—but it changes how we carry them.
When we let Christ lead, we are no longer bound by fear, guilt, or the need to have everything figured out. We are free to walk boldly, gently, and intentionally in the life He has called us to live.
A Reflection to Sit With
True freedom is not just a feeling—it is a life surrendered to Christ.
When we let Him lead, we discover a freedom that stands firm even in difficult seasons.
If you’ve been feeling weighed down, unsure, or longing for renewal, I pray this reminder encourages you to pause, breathe, and surrender again. Freedom is already yours in Christ—sometimes we simply need to reclaim it.
May you continue walking forward in faith, trusting God’s lead, and embracing the beautiful freedom found only in Him.
Let’s walk in freedom together.
Your Sis,
Rhovonda
