Yeah, I know. You are trying to stay focus. You are doing your best not to allow the media and everyone around you to make you panic. You are working so hard to be brave. Other people are depending on you. You are meditating on God’s Word, praying, and praising Him. Yet, you find yourself getting distracted. You are trying so hard to keep your head up and stay positive, but the more you try, the harder it gets. Every day is a challenge for you to trust God completely. And if you are honest, you are tearing at the seams. There is this nagging question that keeps popping up in your mind: what will tomorrow hold?
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” (Matthew 6:34 NLT)
Here is my answer to you. I do not have a clue. But God knows.
We cannot whack our brains trying to figure out what will happen the next day, the next hour, and the next minute. I. Don’t. Know. Neither do you. But one thing we can be sure of is this:
GOD KNOWS ALL THINGS!
HE SEES EVERYTHING!
God has ALL POWER!
He is our PROTECTOR and PROVIDER!
He is in CONTROL OF EVERYTHING!
NOTHING catches Him by surprise.
HE IS UNSTOPPABLE!
EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE IS UNDER HIS COMMAND!
Guess what. God is concerned about you, your tears, and the things that worry and make you afraid. He wants you and me to trust Him fully and absolutely. When we do this one thing, trust Him, our perspectives change.
Listen. Our views confirm what we believe. When we trust God wholeheartedly, our attitudes and thoughts fall in line.
It’s Wednesday, Hump Day. Let today be the day that our trust in the Lord begins to grow stronger and more profound.
Let’s walk in freedom together, trusting our Lord every step of the way.
